Jakub Prochazka (Role played by Adam Sandler) who is a cosmonaut travelling from 6 months for a space mission was on a space mission to study an unknown and mystical cloud near Jupiter but during the mission he misses his wife and just wanna get home and along with the loneliness in the spacecraft the real worry is the radio silence from Earth from his wife lenka (Role played by Carey Mulligan).
Lenka used to talk most of the time but now there is nothing. On earth your doctor named Peter (Role played by Kunal Nayyar) and the Boss lady – Commissiner Tuma (Role played by Isabella Rossellini) tries their best to keep things normal but he knows something is wrong.
Things get even weirder when a giant Spider named Hanus (Dubbed by Paul Dano) shows up in the spaceship. He thinks he must be losing his mind due to space travel and loneliness in the vast emptiness. Along with this scary and extra-terrestrial being by his side he must unlock the secrets of the mystical cloud in the space. He also realize many things about himself which he never knew.

Can Spaceman Sandler fix things from Space?

In “Spaceman 2024,” he plays Jakub Prochazka, a spaceman who is six months into a mission to study a strange cloud near Jupiter. That seems fun, right? Not really. Jakub wants to get back home as badly as he wants to look at the stars. Why? Because his wife Lenka used to fill the radio with love and talk but there is no sign of sound at all.
Jakub’s doctor and the boss of mission control try to calm him down, but Jakub has a strong feeling that something bad has occurred back home as lenka was not receiving and calling him from earth and Just to make things even stranger, a huge space spider named Hanus (the name given by Jakub after they adjusted each other’s presence) shows up in his ship! Is it a terrifying illusion caused by being alone, or is it an unexpected meeting with something from another world?
Being with this creepy Spider, Jakub goes on a trip to not only figure out what’s going on with the space cloud, but also to fix his connection with her and maybe even learn something about himself. Can he make things right with Lenka from so far away? Hanus might be a friend or an enemy. “Spaceman 2024” is like a thought-provoking movie that makes you wonder, “Can Sandler fix things from space?”

The 2017 Novel ‘Spaceman of Bohemia’ by Jaroslav Kalfař is about a Czech astronaut who wants to explore a cloud of space dust near Venus. The story is based on a stressful night he spent with his grandfather and he tackles the issues of finding out about family and personal problems. You will relate to Jakub, Lenka, and Hanuš. Jakub is an astronaut who cares about his loved ones and also has a passion for exploration in space.
Lenka is the love of his life and Hanuš is a curious space spider who happened to be in the spacecraft. Those who read the book are encouraged to think and learn more about the outside world. The movie “Spaceman 2024” is based on this novel which is fabulously directed by Johan Renck.
Spaceman Spider Hanuš - Real or Hallucination ?

The answer is “Yes” according to the questions asked to the director he confirmed the existence. Hanuš is an old creature in “Spaceman” whose voice was given by Paul Dano. He is Jakub’s best friend throughout the movie. Whenever he calls Jakub he refers him by the name “Skinny Human”. Hanuš is a unusual space spider who gives advice even when things don’t make sense. Paul Dano even practiced with star Adam Sandler on set to improve his role in the movie.
Hanuš also behaves like a good adviser Jakub and helps solve his problems revolving around his head in space by viewing his memories and helping to come out of things going on in his life. He wanna help Jakub in every way possible to solve his problems. The movie is a beautiful heartwarming journey that will make you think twice before taking any relation for granted and also you will be enjoying cinematic adventure of space.
Dying of Space Spider Hanus - Is it the Ending or New Beginning?

Hanuš is an old spider and he is dying because he is being eaten by a Parasite (disease) that also destroyed his home world. In a Space Walk moment, Hanuš and Jakub hug one last time as they interacted with the cloud. After the last chat hanus started to disappear and became the part of the cloud himself and that was the ultimate point of the movie when the viewer understands and realize about one’s inner emotions.
Director Renck talks about the power of inner conversation during hard times, he said that everyone has an inner voice that can help them see things more clearly and get them through the storm of life.
Spaceman Sandler Realization
As Hanuš was passing away by becoming a cloud himself, Jakub realizes his own existence and despite the fact that Hanus looks scary, his kind heart and his knowledge were clear and he also gives you great advice along the way.
Hanus’s legacy goes on by reminding us of how beautiful it is to make friends out of the blue and how much they change our lives.

As Jakub began his trip through space by himself, thoughts of his wife Lenka started coming back to him. These memories surround the space with sounds from their shared past. Lenka felt alone and abandoned after Jakub left and she was thinking about breaking all ties with him for good, especially since his absence caused her a lot of trauma and pain while she was pregnant earlier.
Carey Mulligan (who plays Lenka) talks about how complicated her role was and how she is different from how spouses are usually portrayed in movies. Lenka does not passively accept her situation and instead, she steps up and claims control over her own life.
Mulligan makes it clear that Lenka’s choice to separate herself from Jakub is not about shutting herself off from the world, but about restoring her mental and physical freedom.

Renck (Director) talks about the movie’s themes and how it looks at loneliness and show that human need to connect with others. it is a heart touching story about love and the fight to bring two hearts together.
At the end of the movie there is an unforgettable reunion between Jakub and Lenka. The reunion was filled with emotional drama and magical moments. Even though things remain unclear but there is a spark of hope when Jakub says “he is sorry for what he did and knows it hurt Lenka”.
From the spaceship, Jakub tells Lenka, “If only I had known then what I know now, I would never have left.” This is a time for reflection and healing by showing that love’s connections can last even in the emptiness of space, promising forgiveness and a fresh start.
